Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2020 class
Lakyn Schieferecke, 5’8, G, 2020, McPherson
Another strong player with a good upside. She can handle the ball well and is good at the stop-and-pop around the mid-range area. She can also stay on her line when she leaves the ground and doesn’t get bumped out of position in traffic when she faces contact. She has a quick first step and a smooth finish around the basket.
Gabbie Posch, 5’9, G, 2020, Hutchinson
An impressive guard who can create plays when she has to and is smart in transition. She is great at reading the spacing and his good at getting the ball inside to a post player or taking it inside for self and finishing. She can extend plays and shoots well beyond the arc. And aggressive player who knows our game and knows how to create separation and find the right amount of space.
Sidney Nilles, 5’10, G, 2020, Derby
Nilles is an active player who brings good size and speed to the floor. She has a strong frame and uses her quickness and strength on the defensive side. She can strip players and is great at jumping passing lanes and finishing looks in transition. She can play off the ball some and is confident that she’ll find ways to contribute as a score passer and hustle player.
Hannah Landwehr, 5’8, G, 2020, Bishop Carroll
A solid overall player who can handle the ball and score. She can dribble well along the perimeter and can knock down shots from distance. She has a soft touch to her shot and has good footwork and movement off the ball. Intelligent transition player who can score and contribute on both ends.
Camille Evans, 5’7, G, 2020, Bishop Schlagle
Evans is an important player for her team who brings handles, athleticism and speed to the floor. She is strong with the ball and dribbles with purpose. She can shoot and is a good passer and an extremely aggressive defender with quick hands and a good eye for schemes. She’s unselfish and a hard-nosed guard.
