Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2021 class
Ashlyn Bigelow, 5’7, G, 2021, Wichita Trinity Academy
A strong player on the floor who is aggressive on the defensive side and puts everything she has into her game. Just quick hands and look stair for steals and run the floor. She is a good ball-handler and looks to avoid contact and get the ball where it needs to be. She passes well and has an unselfish game.
Lili Shubert, 5’8, G, 2021, Trego
A versatile guard who is constantly active and looking for ways to contribute. She moves off the ball well but can create plays for herself. She is an excellent score and an important rebounder. She can spot up from distance and can find baskets both inside and out. A scoring guard who can operate the point and get buckets when she needs them.
Regan Ast, 5’7, G, 2021, Ingalls
An impressive player for Ingalls who is strong on defense and has great instincts for the offensive side. She can shoot from distance and can connect to anywhere inside the perimeter. She is a good passer and a strong rebounder for her size. She pushes the tempo and is also great at defending the ball and stripping opponents and getting them rattled.
Alissa Heskamp, 5’5, G, 2021, Spearville
Another smart and versatile two-way player who is graded adjusting her game. She can handle the ball well and is a good passer and thoughtful player. She rebounds well and is great at forcing turnovers and making opponents second-guessing ourselves. She is also a scorer on the rise who just finds ways to get on the board. Heskamp is a strong-minded player.
Kidist Wilson, 5’5, G, 2021, Sterling
Wilson is a smaller guard who can handle the ball and create plays. She looks to get her teammates involved and has a team-first game and brings a nice combination of speed and skilled of the floor. she can score when she’s in the zone and has the open look and is a good defender on the ball and in transition.
