According to one online source (Raoul via twitter) over 400 rising seniors have announced their college destination. In Washington, a handful of Division 1 prospects remain available. Here are the top 7 players that haven’t made their decision quite yet.
2020 5’7 G Hailey Van Lith (Cashmere HS) – One of the country’s top recruits has been on the radar of top D1 schools longer than any other player, but she still remains undecided. Louisville and Baylor are two schools that are heavy in the mix and Louisville Head Coach Jeff Walz has a great opportunity in recruitment, as he is coaching her on the USA national team. It is all speculation for now, but Louisville has been recruiting her since middle school.
2020 6’2 PF Jordyn Jenkins (Kentridge HS) – The star of Kentridge has put together one of the best spring and summers out of any player in the state. Her mixture of power and mobility has made her a top target for colleges all over the country. Multiple Pac-12’s are reportedly involved and her club coach made mention of a top 5 being released sometime in the near future. Until then, we wait!
2020 6’4 C Dalayah Daniels (Garfield HS) – The top defensive post player in the 2020 class has a high ceiling and many colleges would like her services. Dalayah’s recruitment has been kept on the down low quite a bit, so many have been left wondering where she may end up.
2020 6’0 SG Maisie Burnham (Liberty HS) – Coming off of a strong high school year, averaging over 27 points per game, Maisie has fielded lots of Division 1 interest. Schools like Eastern Washington have made her a top target, but she has not made any announcement at this time.
2020 6’8 C Sela Heide (Mt. Si HS) – The state’s tallest prospect went down with a knee injury this summer, (reportedly dislocated knee cap) but many schools are still lining up for the 6’8 center. Texas Tech is one of the first schools that offered early on.
2020 5’10 SG Tyler McCliment-Call (University HS) – The skilled off guard has some mid-majors that have offered, but the Spokane Stars standout has gone about her recruitment pretty quietly as well. Some sources have told me that the Big Sky is a likely destination, but nothing is set in stone.
2020 5’7 PG Dayla Ballena (Kentridge HS) – The second Kentridge player on this list has yet to decide on her college destination as well. Dayla has schools like New Mexico State that have gotten into the mix as of late, but it appears that she will play out the end of July before announcing a commitment.
