Last year, the Metro Buckeye Conference sent a team to the regionals, as Legacy Christian fell short of a trip to state after putting together a solid season. Expect another tough challenge from the likes of Troy Christian, and a group of young, hungry teams who look to have a memorable season.
Senior Camryn Collinsworth leads the way as the top returning scorer for DC at 11.5 points per game. In fact, their top seven players are all returning, plus a hopeful return to Tiffany McAfee, who missed her freshman season due to an ACL injury. Key players back include Kayla Ogburn, Bailey Peterson, Alena Seaquist, Destiny Rome, Kiara Sanders and Shaina Caddy. They all have some experience and hope to be better this season.
After only averaging 7.5 points per game as a team last season, they hope to get some offense turned around and start to become more competitive in the conference. They suffered some mindboggling losses last season, and they hope it is behind them.
