Expect another tough challenge from the likes of Troy Christian, and a group of young, hungry teams who look to have a memorable season.
Dayton Christian
Senior Camryn Collinsworth leads the way as the top returning scorer for DC at 11.5 points per game. In fact, their top seven players are all returning, plus a hopeful return to Tiffany McAfee, who missed her freshman season due to an ACL injury. Key players back include Kayla Ogburn, Bailey Peterson, Alena Seaquist, Destiny Rome, Kiara Sanders and Shaina Caddy. They all have some experience and hope to be better this season.
Jefferson
After only averaging 7.5 points per game as a team last season, they hope to get some offense turned around and start to become more competitive in the conference. They suffered some mindboggling losses last season, and they hope it is behind them.
Legacy Christian
What a fun team to watch last season, and they return their top two players, and one of the top duos in the area in juniors Emma Hess and Kathleen Ahner (both pictured above). Both are next level kids, as Hess has some D1 offers and Ahner a varsity of different levels are courting her. Hess can play anywhere on the floor, Ahner has exploded up the radar and is very hard working. Maddy Combs is a senior leader who is a key part of their success.
Miami Valley School
An impressive sophomore will lead the way for the Rams, as Katie Campbell has become a solid leader for them at the guard spot. She is the top returning scorer and best player. Sophomore Jazlyn Smith also contributed last season as the Rams were 13-9 and hope to improve on that record this season.
Middletown Christian
While the look to improve on their seven wins last year, this team will rely on sophomore Trinity Bellard to again be their floor leader this season. Very athletic and smooth guard who had a breakout freshman season last year. Ellie Veal is a senior who also returns with a lot of experience while Grace Barnett saw some good action the second half of the year last season.
Troy Christian
They have shown that every year, they will challenge for the MBC title. This year looks to be no exception as Sarah Johnson looks to rebound from an injury-filled freshman season, Their floor leader is senior Sarah Earhart, a 6-1 perimeter threat who looks to be a matchup problem. Erin Schenk also returns as does another player ready for a breakout year in Morgan Taylor.
Yellow Springs
The electrifying sophomore guard Angie Smith returns to wreak havoc on the league again this season. She averaged 24.5 ppg as a freshman and put up some big numbers. Super athletic and can score on anyone. The question is who else will step up? Sophomore Aaliyah Longshaw returns as a contributor, while Hanneefah Jones also contributed last season.
