Continue ReadingI use a term frequently and that’s “talent is everywhere” but that’s also providing you know what you’re looking at and what I look for is those who are capable of playing at the next level, somewhere. Some players stand out earlier than others however over the years, I know one thing, you can’t count anyone out because with the right mindset and work ethic, you can accomplish a whole lot. Several players gave me a good first look, Taliyah Johnson was definitely one of those players as she showed a variety of positives in a very short time. Gabrielle Owens is a player that continues to show progression as well as Ja Nyla Kennedy. I hadn’t seen Ravyn Ellis, Deanna Akindele, Kylie Ashman nor Brianna Griffin in depth and their first look was a good one as well but here we go
Zoe NelsonZoe Nelson-F- coming off of a super summer of showtime not only in Texas but in Georgia as well. She can play all positions, she’s 6’1, and is realizing she can dominate from both ends of the court, with ease, one of the top 2021 players in state
Isabella EarleAlani Fluker-F- she will definitely be added to my Top 100 for the 2021 class, work ethic second to none and I love battlers and she does that on either end. Finishes strong and defends
Isabella Earle-G- caught her at Super 64 and after further review, realized I hadn’t seen her 4 years ago. She’s a gamer, catch and shoot with accuracy mid to long range and creates her shot off the dribble. She will be added to the Top 100 for 2021 as well
Ashlyn JonesAshlyn Jones-F/G- also among the Top 2021 players in Texas, she can fill it up quickly and nicely, in the flow. She’splaying around, well over the rim and she continues to show she can score mid to long or take defenders off the dribble
Sydney Ward-F- major upside for this already talented player who I have among the Top 5 in the class of 2022 in the state. My crystal ball has never been wrong, length, athleticism and the desire to get better as she adds something each year
Jordyn Marshall-G- she definitely will be added in that Texas Top 100 for the 2022 class after seeing a transformation. I’ve always loved her game and knew she had potential but it was on full blast as that jumper from midrange as well as her ability to create tells me a whole lot more will be coming
