Continue ReadingKentucky’s Senior class is full of scholarship level college players. Several have already committed and will sign this fall. The Class is deep at every position across the board. Here’s a look at the newest additions to our 2020 rankings.
Amerah Steele, South Laurel – Steele was a massive oversight in our initial rankings and now lands in the top 20. She scores at a high level, she rebounds the ball well and she’s skilled. The Eastern Kentucky commit has a bright future and hopes to get South Laurel to Rupp to finish her career.
Kiarah Carney, Ballard – Carney has multiple scholarship offers and is one of the best players in Louisville who doesn’t get as much respect as she should. Ballard gets overlooked because of a loaded 7th region and their boy’s program being a powerhouse but Kiarah should be mentioned with the best in the city.
Emilee Hope, Henderson County – Another player who likely doesn’t get as much respect as she should on the state-wide level, Emilee is one of the top players in Western Kentucky. She plays with a high IQ and shoots the ball well. She is also one of the best available players in the state.
Delaney Enlow, Woodford County – Enlow is one of the most efficient scorers in the state and nearly unstoppable on the block. She is going to college to play softball but she could certainly get some offers as a post player if she had chosen to play basketball in college.
Abby West, Grant County – After averaging 13 points and 4 rebounds per game last season, Abby should be able to come see a significant increase in those numbers as a Senior. Pikeville has offered her and she should definitely end up a scholarship player in college.
Julia Parker, Ashland – Likely the best Senior in the 16th region, Parker could be a more than 20 point per game scorer this year for the Kittens. Julia is an excellent free throw shooter and is one of those players whose impact on the game is often overlooked.
Morgan Stamper, Simon Kenton – After averaging a double-double in her Junior season, Stamper is in position to have one of the most impactful seasons of anyone in the 8th region. Simon Kenton should not be overlooked as a threat to win the 8th and Morgan is a top contender for Regional player of the year.
Payton Cronen, Assumption – Cronen recently made her commitment to Newberry College and she is possibly the best shooter in the city of Louisville. The leading returning scorer for Assumption, Payton is a catch and shoot player who continues to advance her game in other areas.
