Sahara Jones-6’1 G/F -Pro Skills 17U EYBL (Veterans Memorial HS) her length, athleticism and energy captivated me at times, especially with her timing as she blocks, alters or just grabs the ball in mid air. That first step is long and deceptive as she can leave defenders standing still and her ability to not only get to the basket but finish while hanging in the air were nice
Shay Holle-6’0 G Cy Fair 17U EYBL (Westlake HS) I’ve said this countless times, college coaches love big guards that can shoot and since she’s at “the magic number” I always speak about, 6’0, those two should give you an indication on where I’m going. Quick release, catch and shoot, mid to long range, check, double and triple check but she also can create her shot and take the midrange or attack the basket
Ash’A ThompsonAsh’A Thompson-6’1 F Drive Nation 17U EYBL (Desoto HS) strong and goes everything in the paint, on the boards, on the floor but with all of those throwback elements, her chemistry fits because she gets hers in the flow or just takes it by battling. She can defend inside or outside and when she attacks from the wing, she goes hard
Jordan Webster-5’10 G Pro Skills 17 U EYBL (Prestonwood HS) strong, athletic and powerful are all great qualities to have because she rebounds well on both ends, against taller players at that, she attacks strong and does so many things that don’t show up on score-sheet but she definitely shows up during games. Got extensive looks multiple times and was impressed by not just her athleticism and being under control but her ability to create her own shot in traffic. That first step as well as her pull-up are great intangibles
Lanay Wheaton-5’7 PG San Antonio Finest CEE LOU (Oliver Wendall Holmes HS) steady and smooth with the ball, sees the floor and understands how to control temp. She’s also athletic and can create her shot as well as set teammates up for baskets. Mixes it up on offense nicely as she can get defenders leaning and attack the basket as well as show a nice pull-up
