Madison CockrellMadison Cockrell-5’4 PG Pro Skills 16U EYBL (Bedford HS) she showed an enormous amount of signs as a 7th grader and just took it to another level as an 8th grader and one thing I always look for is progression because that, as well as upside, tells me quite a bit. Explosive first step, nice stop and pop and can hit the mid to long range with ease but she gets “it” and understands how to run a team and know she can get hers in the flow
Cammie McKinney-5’7 PG Drive Nation 16U EYBL (Hebron HS) I always give transparency and “no” I didn’t see her play during the event but when I saw her in elementary school, I knew two things, she could already play and she was going to get better by playing and over the years, she has done just that. She was poised and skilled, could run a team and score and was a D1 Lock even back then
Deucee Reed-5’5 PG North Texas Shockers (Lewisville HS) one of those “pass first” point guards that loves and understands how to get her teammates the ball and I’m talking the right person at the right time. Heady player that dissects the defense and makes things happen but she can keep the defense honest by knocking down shots from mid to long range
Savannah VelasquezSavannah Velazquez-5’3 PG Houston Dream Red (George Ranch HS)I have an old saying “size don’t matter” and I usually hashtag it a lot and it really doesn’t, when you can play and seeing her in the 5th or 6th grade left me speechless as she scored at will either attacking and finishing, with contact, or a nice pull-up jumper from everywhere, yes I said jumper. Over the years, her ability to run a squad keeps getting better, her intensity is second to none
Jasmyn Lott-5’8 PG Pro Skills 16U EYBL (Memorial HS) long and athletic, her ball handling and court vision has enabled her to play multiple positions because when I caught her in the 7th grade, she was a wing and now she’s flying from to one to three spots. She can shoot it and attack plus she rebounds and defends and that upside hasn’t been reached so…..
Taylor Bean-5’7 PG Pro Skills 16U National (John Paul II) again, giving full transparency and letting you know she didn’t play during event but I caught her a few weeks earlier and was sold. The only thing that kept her out was injury but she was at every game supporting her teammates throughout not only this event but earlier July events and trust me, college coaches notice this type of stuff. She’s an explosive score that can put up numbers in droves, that’s A LOT, and her heat on defense is just , well HOT.
