As you know 8th graders come in all shapes and sizes, and predicting who will grow some more and who won’t is always a bit of a crapshoot. We’ll leave that speculation for the first ranking of the Class of 2023 this fall. What we know at this juncture is much more certain: 2023 is one very talented group. Today we bring you 15 of the most gifted players, the ones who have particularly excelled this summer and earned their way onto the Prep Girls Hoops 2023 AAU All Star team.

One thing that becomes evident immediately when you analyze the class is just how many terrific small guards there are. No twosome played better together this summer than the backbone of Minnesota Fury 2023 UAA. That would be Molly Lenz of Eden Prairie and Kennedy Sanders of Chaska. Although Sanders missed some time due to injury, both were spectacular in leading their team to a state championship.
