The players listed are consistent in their game with the attributes and therefore should definitely hold a spot on any type of list of knowing who these players. I believe that some may sleep on what these players can do because they all play on teams in which their game moxy is not as flamboyant as others but they do many things correctly and with tenacity within the game. See below for a few prospects and players to know in the class of 2022.
Aunisty Smith, Booker T. Washington HS
Class of 2022, 5’10, Forward/Guard
One can see the energy with all plays she is involved within the game and brings a lot to the floor. High athleticism which really adds to her ability in aspects of the game such as rebounding and defense. Solid defensively and gets low to work to defend opponents. Strong and aggressive with all she does and can handle the rock to a degree up the floor and slashes well to get lay ups with a finish.
Hadley Periman, Tuttle HS
Class of 2022, 6’2, Guard/Forward
Tall and long forward with a guard skill set package. High awareness of where the ball is or may be off of a shot which is one of the reasons she is a good rebounder. After rebounds, she can handle the ball in transition to finesse some craft to get to the rim. Different shot on her mechaics but has ability to knock down the open perimeter shot. Never really witnessed much post game offensively but also olds ability to defend in the post.
Lauryn Scalice, Bethany HS
Class of 2022, 5’8, Guard
Quiet in the “look” of her skill set, Lauren is consistent in her game. High IQ with all of her decisions and great mechanics for most aspects in the game of basketball. For example, always makes the correct type of pass in right or left hand flicks and post entry. Finishes with both hands properly each time, high free throw percentage, as well as shoots all open shots along the perimeter which a high rate of making them. To add, she is unselfish with the ball by ensuring her teammate gets the pass and good one at that.
