We covered tournaments in the following states this year, California, Oregon and Nevada. We thank all of the tournament directors for their hospitality and we will be covering those events next year as well. I had some great times on the road with PGH California and we intend to be one of the best coverage sites in the business. Stay tuned and we will continue to bring you quality stories and recaps from events, we appreciate the support. Here are some good evals we talked about in early July viewing period this year of 2019.
2021, 5’6, PG, Corona Centennial HS, West Coast Elite 17UAA, Jayda Curry is very exciting to watch as a player and as a dynamic scorer on the floor. She keeps you in suspense, she can handle it, she can pass it, she can shoot from about 26 feet and she is a very willing defender. Jayda skill set is very good, she can finish at the rim with both hands and can get you in foul trouble by finishing thru contact on the drive. She holds an offer from SDSU, Cal Baptist, CSUB
2021, 5’7, SG, Mater Dei HS, West Coast Premier Black 17U, Alyssa Frescas is a bonefide shooter, meaning she is a dead-eye shot from deep every time I watched her play. She knocked down 3-pointers from about 26 feet out in a row. She made shots even when they tried to run her off the three point line, she was threat to score everytime she got the ball. Now, I was a bit concerned with her handle, she has to improve at that skill, because at the next level she will probably have to run some PG. She holds offers from George Washington, UCIrvine and UNMexico.
2021, 5’7, PG, Bonita Vista HS, Sylena Peterson picks up her third offer from Northern Arizona University. The other two offers are from USD and Cal State San Bernandino. Let’s talk a little bit about Sylena she is a tough point guard, she doesn’t give up, she leads her team and she is all around skilled, meaning she can handle it she can shoot the mid-range and she can shoot the three.
2021, 5’9, SG, Pinnacle HS (AZ), Cal Sparks 16U EYBL, Ally Stedman is a handful on the court, she is a threat to score from all three levels on the floor. She lit it up as we watched her play this weekend and did it in great fashion. She has a nice stroke from the perimeter and it allows her to open up the game a bit, cause she is a sure-shot from outside, so they have to overplay on her. Her handles are decent and she is capable of finishing at the rim thru contact and then step to the line and complete the three point play.
