Tonight I checked out Desmond Howard’s open runs, powered through League-Me. I’ve heard a lot about all of the top talent that has been on display, battling it out. Simply put, the open runs did not disappoint.

There was plenty of top talent on display and I felt that the girls were really pushed and challenged. It was really fun to see some of the best girls in state play against one another.

I just wanted to write up a little article discussing some players who I felt stood out. First up, Ally Stedman. Stedman had the best performance of the night, in my opinion. She could not miss from down town, used her craftiness to get to the basket, and dished out a ton of assists. Stedman has been improving a ton and every time I see her, I’m that much more impressed by her.

Shayla O’Neil was another stand out. I haven’t seen her too much so I have been wanting to see more of what she can do. She can hoop! Pretty solid defender overall and she showed that she can knock down the mid-range and 3 ball with consistency.
