With so much talent of the court and so many players that were able to shine we had to focus on some of the other players that stood out during the game.
More Standouts from All Star Sunday Turf Wars/NSP Game:
ZAIHA MINNIS – 5’8″ – WING – MARET – 2022
Zaiha MinnisZaiha was one of the strongest players in the game and used her physicality to cause havoc on the offensive glass. She finished very well at the rim and drew contact giving her multiple opportunities at the line where she shot very well. As the game went on she seemed to get stronger as she made play after play.
SIMONE FOREMAN – 5’8″ – WING – ST. ANDREW’S EPICOPAL – 2022
Simone ForemanSimone was probably the only player that could physically match up with Minnis they, however, never were in a head to head match. Simone did get to show her ability to muscle for the board and get out on the break. She has the strength of a bull in the paint and the finesse an nimbleness of a gazelle in transition. She has good vision and sees the floor well on the run.
MARY and CHRISTINA TRIVISONNO – 5’8″ – COMBO GUARDS – MARSHALL – 2021
Mary TrvisonnoI had to mention these two together because they fed so well off of each other. Identical twins with identical games. Both can drive and have great footwork in the lane. The have a knack of knowing where each other are on the floor and worked the drive and kick game to perfection drawing defenders in and kicking it out for an open three.
MAKAYLA WALEED – 5’7″ – GUARD – PALLOTTI – 2021
Makayla WaleedMakayla is a lefty the works the left side well. She finished well after the driving left and went to the reverse layup from the right side where she was also able to finish. She showed a pretty good outside shot as well.
ANA BOURNIGAL – 5’10” – GUARD – YORKTOWN – 2022
Ana BournagalOnce Ana settled down and got her confidence she showed the reason NSP selected her. She showed a great touch on her shot and she can shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor. She has the height and body to play multiple positions creating mismatches on the floor and she is very unselfish with the ball. She has the skill and potential to be a really special player.
KENDALL DUNHAM – 5’6″ – GUARD – HAYFIELD – 2023
Kendall is athletic with good hands. She ran the floor well and showed the ability to secure passes that are out of reach and finish in one motion.
