Continue ReadingHere are some evaluations we did back in April, the events that we covered were the Cal Storm Showcase in Newbury, California and West Coast Premier Showcase in Rancho Cucamonga, California. We are recapping these events to assist with the recruiting purposes of some of the girls we evaluated at that time. Take the time to read these evaluations and I hope that these will assist these few girls with coaches who subscribe to our site. If you do not believe you can be recruited by coaches on our site by being evaluated, you better ask somebody. We are getting girls recruited from our stories and recaps.
2020 – 6’3, SF, Roosevelt HS, Michelle Onyiah – Showed her toughness and skill in the paint for the Cal Sparks Nike EYBL team and was watched by a number of eager High Major D1 coaches in Hampton, Virginia. Shoots the ball well from midrange, but is a force mostly in the post. Physicality is at a premium with this girl, she does not know how to play any other way.
2020, 6’2, PF/C, Long Beach Poly, Ashlee Lewis -Showed her inside power skills with finishes at the rim as well as a nice midrange shot from the middle of the key on a pin down. Her rebounding skills are impeccable. Ashlee is a bully down low and it is not much you can do to stop her in the paint as I witnessed that weekend. (Plays for West Coast Elite 17U) (Offers: CSUN & CSUF)
2021, Mailey Ballard – Showed us some all around skills with a midrange jumper to driving to rim, also rebounded well for her size and kept her team in the game with leadership and grit.
2021, KiKi Iriafen – Dominant post presence that is capable of scoring double-doubles each and every night. Mismatch in the paint and knows how to finish or throw out of the double team. She is skilled with the left and right hand with some solid footwork in the paint. She is a threat
2021, 6’3, SF, Mater Dei HS, Cal Stars Elite NorCal, Brooke Demetre is one of the most versatile small forwards in her class as well as in California. Her strongest strength is her shooting ability, she can shoot the ball from all three levels and she is also capable of putting it on the floor. Her length and body type make her hard to guard, it is usually a mismatch when someone tries to guard her one-on-one. She is playing well on the EYBL circuit and she is playing well for her team of Cal Stars Elite NorCal. She holds offers from Cal, Stanford, USC, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Arizona, LMU, Baylor and Boston College.
