Whitney Hay, Elizabethtown – The high scoring wing pulled the trigger on a Belmont commitment in July. Now that she has her college decision out of the way, Hay is committed to leading the Lady Panthers to Rupp Arena and contention for a state championship.
Taziah Jenks, Mercy – One of the best Seniors in the state, Jenks had maybe the best summer out of anyone in the Commonwealth. After spending the summer adding offers to her list, Jenks is trying to wind down her recruitment and try to get the Jaguars back to Rupp after a narrow loss there in the Sweet Sixteen this past season.
Lexi Taylor, Bullitt East – Lexi is another Kentuckian who had a big summer and added multiple scholarship offers over the course of the AAU season. After a Junior season averaging over 17 points per game, Taylor should be an even more formidable all around player this season.
Amerah Steele, South Laurel – Amerah is part of one of the favorites to win the state championship this year, South Laurel fell short in the 13th region tournament last season but Steele had a fantastic season and is driven to get back to Rupp Arena. She’s committed to Eastern Kentucky.
Channing Lewis, Mercer County – Another committed prospect, Channing is headed to play her college ball at the University of the Cumberlands. She will look to lead her Titans team back to the state tournament. Lewis is already a two time state champion and will hope to end her career with a third.
Other Names to Know:
Kelsey Jo Tackett, Pikeville – Tackett should see a big uptick in her production as a Senior leader for the Panthers.
Jacqualine Racque, Assumption – After averaging 6 points and 5 rebounds as a Junior, Racque will be a big X factor on a very good team.
Lexiy Meyers, Leslie County – Meyers is one of the best scorers in Kentucky. A 38% shooter from 3, Meyers could lead the state in scoring.
Abby West, Grant County – West garnered her first scholarship offers this summer and is primed for a big final season for Grant.
Payton Cronen, Assumption – Cronen recently made her college choice to attend Newberry College and is maybe the best shooter in Louisville.
