Tiarra East, Butler – Ready to step into a leadership role for Butler this season, the forward added her first D1 offers from Murray State and Alabama A&M this summer. East is the leading returning scorer for a Butler team that expects to be a state title contender once again this season.
Alexa Smiddy, Southwestern – A tough as nails point guard for the 2019 State Champion Runners-Up, Smiddy is a high IQ floor general who is going to be among the best players in the 12th region this season. Smiddy leads a strong Southwestern team who will be looking to return to Rupp Arena in March and get the job done this time.
Leslie Baxter, Butler – Baxter is another member of the Bearettes roster who is primed to make an impact in her Junior season. After modest stats in her Sophomore season, Baxter earned her first scholarship offer from Alabama A&M and is looking to breakout in her Junior season.
Jayden Crist, Ryle – Crist is a better college prospect than her statistics show because she’s part of such a loaded team at Ryle. She should have a bigger role in her Junior season and she has spent the summer raising her game as part of the Kentucky Storm Elite program.
Ella Thompson, Bethlehem – An off the radar college prospect who deserves more exposure, Thompson returns for her Junior year after averaging 12 points and 10 rebounds per game as a Sophomore. Ella is one of the best rebounders in the state and continues to improve on the offensive end. She’s one to track as a potential top 10-15 talent in the class as we progress.
