Marissa Gasaway, Eastern – While her offense is still catching up to her defense and rebounding, Gasaway continues to make a case as the top forward in the class. Averaging 11 points and 13 rebounds per game as a Sophomore, the sky is the limit for Marissa as a player and recruit.
Tiarra East, Butler – Another forward from Louisville, East is not too far behind Gasaway in terms of potential but her production has yet to catch up to the level of Marissa. Nevertheless, Tiarra is a nice prospect too and has a couple of D1 offers already with potentially more on the way.
Marie Kiefer, Bishop Brossart – Marie was unranked in our first rankings and cracked the top ten in the first update. And she could keep going up. She has great size and potential. She earned her way onto the EYBL roster for Premier this summer and could be the best forward in the class by graduation.
Raigan King, Pineville – King should be a top player in her region and she definitely should average a double-double in her Junior year after only missing it by a rebound and a half last season. Raigan has great touch around the rim as a 66% field goal shooter and will only get better as her game expands.
Trinity McGee, Christian County – Trinity has a lot of potential as a game changing center for Christian County. Heading into her Junior year, she needs to establish herself as the dominant force she can be. Just improving her field goal percentage and rebounding rate will make her a very solid double-double machine.
Other Names to Know:
Casey Coleman, Rockcastle County – Coleman keeps moving up the rankings and as she has developed her game, she could end up a wing in college.
Kelsie Woodard, Menifee County – After averaging 14 points and 9 rebounds as a Sophomore, she should only get better.
Rory O’Hara, Highlands – A solid forward with some stretch to her game, O’Hara can be a difference maker this season.
Sidney Thomas, Covington Holy Cross – She has the size and potential to be an impact player this season.
Jayden Crist, Ryle – Undervalued because she plays for a loaded high school team, don’t be surprised if she breaks out big time this season.
