Macey Blevins, Wayne County – A talented scorer who keeps getting new scholarship offers, Blevins is in contention for top player in the class alongside her Kentucky Premier teammates. Macey’s recruitment exploded this summer with multiple D1 offers coming in for her and she looks to be on the path to being a high major D1 recruit by this time next season.
Harley Paynter, Boyd County – Harley is primed for a massive season now that she is the go to scorer for a Boyd team that is hoping to return to state tournament. Paynter herself is no stranger to big games as she averaged 15 points per game as a Sophomore and will get the Lion’s share of the shots this year with Savannah Wheeler now at Marshall.
Jacqueline Jackson, Greenwood – Jackson is hoping to get her Lady Gator team back above .500 and on their way to regional title contention in her Junior season. After a relatively quiet summer, Jacqueline is still firmly in the mix to be the top player in the 4th region this season and one of the best prospects in Western Kentucky.
Presley Partin, Knox County Central – Not many Juniors can say they had the type of season that Partin did last year. Coming off a 17 point per game season as a Sophomore, don’t be surprised if Presley averages over 20 a game for a Knox team that should continue improving and be a contender for Rupp.
Whitney Caldwell, Pineville – Recently profiled by our Donovan Finnan, Whitney is a big part of a Pineville program that enters the year with high expectations and a loaded Junior class. As a sophomore, Whitney led the team in scoring and can do even more damage if she can improve her 29% three point shooting.
Other Names to Know:
Brie Crittenden, Ryle – Brie has already picked up multiple offers and should be expected to have an even bigger Junior year as Ryle looks to defend their title.
Kenady Tompkins, Scott County – Another lady looking for a big season, Kenady should help fill the void left by Maaliya Owens’ graduation.
Aaliyah Yates, Tates Creek – Expect a big increase in production for Yates and a better season overall for her Tates Creek team that can compete to win the 11th.
Kaeli Ross, Russell – Ross recently picked up an offer from Georgetown College and her stock keeps going up as she heads into her Junior year.
Sarah Hicks, Ryle – Another lady who should have a much larger role for Ryle as a Junior, Hicks hopes to make an impact for the state champs.
