There is an old saying, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and you can equate that to ” everyone doesn’t observe talent the same way” and it amazes that people who couldn’t evaluate their own child, player or whomever attempts to use logic in an illogical system but nevertheless, I’m dropping some more names from that amazing incoming freshmen game that was high octane start to finish with both teams in the high seventies
Mia GalbraithKierra Merchant-dropped her on a Tip Sheet a while back and said “she has the tools to be a household name, she does things many high school guards are not or can’t do yet she understands how to take over a game when needed as well as get hers in the flow. Already showing she can create her shot and get to the basket, plus handles pressure quite well” and once again, I was right
Mia Galbraith-dual roles at both #TheSouth camp and All Star Sunday so I definitely got a great look at her. Tell ya what, her ceiling has no roof, she has several tools and utilizes them well on both ends of the court, she’s long, she’s athletic and she gets “it” and more importantly, shows “IT” on the court. Smooth pull-up, attacks off the dribble and gets hers in the flow and before you know it, voila, stat sheet is full
Micah Vaughn-the prototype is long, athletic, size and powerful and she has all four so when you start with the base and you combine effort, skill set and just the desire, the sky is the limit and she was impressive both at the camp and the All Star game as she showed a different aspect of her impressive game. Defended and rebounded and got hers in the flow
Brooke Moses-her athleticism is over the edge, she battles and goes after everything, on the floor or out of bounds, she defends inside and on the perimeter, she rebounds on both ends and finishes strong. Good instincts and doesn’t shy away from contact, great upside combined with that ever so important “you won’t outwork me” mindset
Taylor HagganEmillia Steele- stainless steel, Remington Steele and she was a steal at the All Star game because no matter how you spell her name, it all sounds the same because with the first spelling, she was smooth and just got the job done but in the second spelling, she definitely figured things out quickly as she reads the defense nicely. Strong body and athletic, showed power in the paint, ran the floor after rebounding and finishes well
Taylor Haggan-one of the most powerful players in the camp, wait, over the weekend and I’m talking about every player. Immediately caught my eye during the drills at The South and was amazed at how I missed her. Even more amazed when I saw she was an incoming freshmen and all I wrote was “add to Watch List” because everything else is embedded in mind
