I say over and over, my daughter had over 100 D1 offers, over a dozen before her freshman season in high school, so it doesn’t matter who I know, the question is can your daughter play at the next level and if so, what level can she play at because I think they, college coaches, want to win and (or) keep their jobs so throw the nonsense that you hear out of the window, it doesn’t work that way, unless your a Hollywood actress or, never mind. The North Shore Fall League opened things up as I go back over everything to make sure I didn’t miss anyone, some kids look better on high school teams, some on club or select teams, it all depends on the system and I’ve added several players to go on the updated rankings for 2020 and 2021 as well as the “WATCH LIST” for 2022 and 2023 from that event but first the seniors
Donalyn Johnson2020
Donalyn Johnson-F-North Shore- she’s going to be added, you can’t teach heart and hustle, she battles players bigger than her and never takes a play off. She showed she could attack the rim and finish strongly but that “work ethic” is something college coaches crave, especially in this era. She brings heat on defense either in the paint or applying it full court
Precious Jackson-Sanders-P- that old saying “you can’t teach size” is dated to say the least because like a Porsche no engine, it looks good but…., Well trust me, she has an engine that goes constantly, I really liked her boxing out and showing something else that’s dated, the drop step. I think she’s around 6’2, not sure but she’s powerful in the paint, that I’m certain of
Jo Jo AdegbiteJo Jo Adegibite-F- not quite at “the magic number” of 6’0 yet she plays like it and her fire and desire showed off the top. Diving in the stands, on the floor or into her teammates bench, she goes hard and punishes on the inside with regularity and when you have that mindset, knowledgeable people get it. She’s overpowering in the paint yet showed she could step out and shoot it
I’ve seen players from the Bellaire Fall League, already dropped story on that, as well as their Houston Are Girls Shootout which I’ll recap plus coming up this weekend I’ll solidify updates with some heavy hitters performing at HS Fall Showcase
