Over the next several weeks, we will take a look at some of the players who saw their ranking rise since the first release back in April. The next few days, a look at 2020 kids.
2020 rising guards/forwards part 1
Anyssa Jones (Westerville South)- The Ohio State commit (pictured above) saw her stock rise since the first ranking release back in the spring, and she is all the way up to #3 in the 2020 class. An athletic player who excels in the transition game, and can push the ball north-south very well. Great hands around the rim, and has the ability to score from either at the rim or from the perimeter. Makes things happen, electric player who looks to continue to improve her game.
Nyla Hampton (Wayne)- This electric guard is headed to Bowling Green after what she hopes is a memorable senior season with the Warriors. Nyla has moved up to #16 in the 2020 class. She can play in any system, uptempo, halfcourt or pick and roll. Excellent defender and takes pride in shutting people down. With the ball, Nyla is excellent from the perimeter, handles the ball well with both hands, can change speed. A threat from inside and out.
Alexia Smith (Africentric Early College)- she also moves up to #6 overall in her class, Alexia is still undecided on where she will play her college ball. She is very strong at the rim, and can finish well in transition. Excellent handles, can score on anyone and is the kind of player who will take over a game from many aspects.
Corina Conley (Franklin Monroe)– also moves up in the latest update, cracking the top 25 2020s in Ohio. Conley has seen her game grow tremendously over the last four years. Excellent range, can score inside or outside. Smooth, runs the floor well and can finish. Plays under control and is a player who should excel at the next level.
