Every coach needs a Jordyn Lamker on their team. The junior from Maple Grove is tall, she’s athletic and she has a certain kind of mental and physical toughness that you just can’t measure. She can also play any position you want and play it well. When prospects are coming up they tend to get put in a box – she’s a shooter, rebounder, facilitator and the like based on their primary skill. If you’re trying to categorize Lamker in that way you are going to need a moving truck full of boxes. She simply cannot be pigeonholed.

“I would say my versatility is my biggest strength,” Lamker said when we talked recently. “I have always been very proud of that. I can play virtually any position. I have played so many different roles and been able to handle those roles.” Where does she see herself playing at the next level? “I’m definitely not a 5!” she said, in reference to the spot where she spent a lot of time last winter. “That’s such a tough question but honestly I probably see myself as a three or four, being able to bring the ball up the floor but also being
