First Team
Lauren Ware of North Tarten EYBL. Ware dominated at the Nike Nationals in Chicago. She had impressive numbers of 19 ppg and 12 rpg during the 4 game schedule against some of the toughest competition in the country. Ware has narrowed her college choices down to 5 power-five schools, UCLA, University of Minnesota, University of Tennessee, University of Arizona and the University of Texas.
Sydni Schetnan of SD Network BlueStar. Sydni had a breakout first half of the summer. Making her debut in AAU this spring, Sydni was able to collect a few D1 offers including Kansas State and Indiana State.
Emma Ronsiek of SD Attack. Ronseik continues to show off her amazing skill set. The Creighton commit, became more versatile as the season went on. Roniek will go down as one of the best players to come out of South Dakota.
Breclie Honner of BBA. Honner plays up a grade on her BBA squad but there’s no doubt that she is the leader of the team. Throughout the summer Honner saw different matchups that looked to favor the opponent. However, halfway through games you could tell she was more than likely the best player on the court.
Morgan Hammerbeck of Pentagon Schooler-Borchers. Hammerbeck seemed to improve every game. The Class A state champion continued her winning ways throughout the summer. Her outside shooting has improved tremendously.
2nd Team
Brooke Brown of SD Network Bluestar . Brooke bounced back this summer with some impressive showings. She become more of a scorer once she got her groove back. Deadly from the outside and as always one of the best ball handlers around.
Rianna Fillipi of SD Attack. Rio did Rio type of things. The bouncy and athletic point guard has a little Russell Westbrook in her. Very similar to Trinity Law of the 2019 class. Has a quick step and can blow by any defender.
Cade Ryckman of Beartails Adidas Gauntlet.Tough hard nose player. Uses her strength well when driving to the line. With tones of injuries to her team, Ryckman was called to do it all.
Madysen Vlastuin of SD Attack. Vlastuin continued to add to her impressive skill set. She did a lot of work in the paint this summer. Which will make her more versatile for the upcoming high school season.
Hilary Albrecht of SD Network Bluestar. Plays with fearlessness. She is able to score with the best of them then turn around and lock up on defense, with the best of them.
3rd Team
Megan Fannin of Pentagon Schoolers-Brown. Fanning is pound for pound one of the best scorers in the area. Excellent shooter and even has a little bounce to her handles.
Bailey Conrad of SD Attack. Every time I watched her I thought to myself, “Wow that was a nice move!” Conrad was easily the most improved player in the area. Especially being on a team with so many good player.
Hannah Behrens of SD Network Bluestar. Behrens was a force down low. She added a few things to her game. Improved her mid range and three ball significantly.
Abbigail Magnuson of ND Pro Hutter. Solid physical post. At 6’1 with some girth, Magnuson was out there throwing bodies around. Held down the paint and any on-coming traffic.
4th Team
Abygail Phipps of SD Network Bluestar. The Augustana University commit showed how much of an impact she can make. She really worked on her defense and it showed. Already and offensive threat, Phipps became much more reliable on the defensive end.
Jessica Mertens of ND Attack. The combo guard has the wind span of a forward. This is why she is able to guard multiple positions. Mertens was able to cut and slash her way through defenders all summer.
Audrey Rodakowski of ND Attack. Great post moves and can run the floor well. She has a high skill set. Has sneaky athleticism.
Lakyn Darras of ND Pro Hutter. The University of Mary commit had some very impressive game at Summer Jam in the cities. Nice frame, in which she can use to body some of her defenders
Hannah Parsley of Sacred Hoops Beebout. Parsley had a solid summer. She was definitely the best player on her squad. Plenty of college have taken note of that.
