With the release today of the updated rankings for the class of 2020 I thought I would share who the top five advancers are from the previous update. The previous update was in late March, after the high school season and just in time for summer ball. That list included 108 players. This September refresh includes 136. While numerous players advanced 25 to 50 spots, the players below exceeded that top number.
Emily Weathers, 5'11", F, Scott City, Ohlde Elite - Weathers advanced 94 places to #13 and has verbally committed to Emporia State University. She was selected as Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA), 2019, class 3A honorable mention all-state. She was also selected to the Great West Activities Conference first team. June 26 Western Kansas News reported that, "Weathers has averaged 10.6 points per game, shooting 54% from the field in 71 games played." Those numbers are for her high school, varsity career.
