2020 Ranking Are Posted On Site -….
We released the 2020 California Rankings this morning and it should be a good conversation piece, remember, we at PGH California will only rank girls we have seen, that means the committee members around California have put eyes on these girls and have actually seen them play. Does nothing for us to put a girl on the list that none of us have seen. With that being said, lets take a good look at the rankings and see if we are on the money or just plain missed the bus on some of these kids, I believe we are spot on with the majority of the kids we have seen play. Opinion of kids really plays a role in everyone’s decision making and also when you have a dog in the race. Enjoy these opinions and go with it, it will be changing again by February or March after the season is over. Get your stock up and keep working hard, we are out there watching very closely. Again, thanks for the support of PGHCalfornia.
Ugonne Onyiah goes up for a rebound. Overal #1 in our 2020 Rankings
2020, 6’3, PF/C, Roosevelt HS, Ugonne Onyiah at overall #1 in our rankings and has been since we started publishing them, it should be no question that she is the unanimous #1 and will be all the way until we take the 2020 class down off the site. She is a dominant post presence, big body in the paint, strong, skilled and relentless on the boards. She will sign most likely to a POWER FIVE school soon, we are awaiting that decision right now.
Vanessa DeJesus #3 Overall in our 2020 Class Rankings
2020, 5’8, PG, Sierra Canyon HS, Vanessa De Jesus is a mover and a shaker, she moves up a couple of spots to the overall #3 spot in our California rankings. Quick, crafty little guard with the heart of a lion. Committed to Duke, that is no surprise, but very interesting to see her play at that level.
Mckayla Williams is the #6 Overall in the 2020 Class rankings
2020, 6’1, SF, Windward School, McKayla Williams is a dynamic wing with great upside for the college game in our opinion, she sits at overall #6 in our rankings and that is no surprise to those who have seen her play, specially with the commitment to Gonzaga.
Taylor Donaldson defending is at Overall #7 in our 2020 Class Rankings
2020, 5’9, CG, Oaks Christian HS, Taylor Donaldson will be a kid most will say, who is she, but if you watch basketball often, then you will know this kids name, she is a player, that is why she is sitting at overall #7, she earned it by being consistent, being a great scorer and also a two-way player cause she is able to sit down and be the best lockup defender on the West Coast in our opinion. By the way she averaged 25ppg last season with ease.
Savannah Tucker is Overall #10 in our 2020 Class Rankings; picture courtesy of LBSU Basketball.
2020, 5’8, SG, Clovis North HS, Savannah Tucker at overall #10 is a dynamic guard that can score and get after it on the floor, creates for herself and is a decent defender on the floor, that is why she has committed to play at Long Beach State University and we think she will fit nicely with that program and do some major things for them.
Enjoy our Rankings classes, these are girls that are in the Top 10, we focused on certain girls that stood out to us this past season and club season as well. Consistency is always one of our important measures, we try our best not to hype kids. Each and every one of the kids listed above is a bonefide D1 kid and will sign very soon if they have not already.
