Today, we will go over the new top 5 forwards from each class! Some classes will see significant changes, while some will see very little movement at the top.
#1 Ali Zelaya 6’4 2020 F Millennium
Zelaya is by far the best forward of the class, as well as the #1 overall player for 2020. Zelaya has so much size and is pretty darn mobile. She can also knockdown mid-range jumpers with great consistency! She can even stretch her game out a bit further and shoot the 3. Add all of that combined with her impressive post footwork and you have the #1 forward in 2020.
#2 Danelle Arigbabu 6’4 2020 F Bella Vista
Danelle is next up and I see a ton of potential in her game. She is very big/strong and also moves pretty well for her size. She has a really good post game and is a lock down D1 player in my opinion. If you don’t know her yet, you will this season!
#3 Dyamond Butler-Worley 6’0 2020 F Shadow Mountain
DBW is a super versatile player. I think she will make a great 3 in college. She can do everything that a good 3 needs to do at the next level. She will be a very good 3 and D type of player this season and going forward into college.
#4 Liz Cruz 5’11 2020 F Casteel
Cruz has really stepped her game up. I see a ton of potential in Cruz and I think she will have a really solid career at the D2 level. At that level, she will bring a lot to the table, primarily as a 4 in my opinion. I think she could have a huge year as she leads Casteel in their hunt for a championship!
#5 Jess Winquist 6’1 2020 F ALA-QC
Winquist is a very underrated prospect. She has really good size and strength! She is also a really good mid-range shooter. Winquist also loves to get on the glass and collect boards as well as being a very capable post defender.
