Today, we will go over the new top 5 guards from each class! Some classes will see significant changes, while some will see very little movement at the top.
#1 Anna Ostlie 5’8 2020 G Chaparral
Anna Ostlie remains my top guard of the 2020 class. Honestly, you could make a strong case that she’s the best guard in the state. Ostlie is the ultimate play making guard, who can see the floor with incredible vision. Ostlie rounds out her game with excellent shooting and scoring ability.
#2 Andrea Jovicevic 5’10 2020 G Bella Vista
Andrea is new to our list and I am glad I finally saw her play! Andrea is undoubtedly a D1 guard. Great size and great overall scoring ability. She can break you with her quick handles/quick first step or she can shoot over you. She never stops moving and is always cutting and backdooring to get the ball.
#3 Jasmine Singleton 5’6 2020 G Millennium
Singleton is more of a defensive guard and that’s welcomed! I love defense, I’m all about it…so I really appreciate a guard who puts so much emphasis on locking up the opposing guard. Singleton’s defense is her bread and butter and will make her successful at the D1 level.
#4 Senya Rabouin 5’5 2020 G Shadow Mountain
Love Senya’s game. I had a hard time trying to place her within these guards because unlike a lot of these guards, she has not committed. It was a hard choice to put her over Davis, who is committed to Hampton, but I do think her overall game is a little better. Senya has this ability to score the ball that is unmatched. She had an amazing season last year and I think she follows that up with an even better one this season.
#5 Victoria Davis 5’5 2020 G Hamilton
Davis rounds out our top 5 guards list and man what a great talent to have at #5. As you can tell, this class has a lot of talented guards, each with their own skill set and style of play. Davis is a scoring machine. Every time I see her play, she just finds 1,000 different ways to score. She is so smart and is not a one dimensional scorer.
