Continue ReadingWith the 2020 season approaching quickly, here is a preview of seniors who made the 2019 All-state for Class 5 basketball in Missouri. Big things ahead for this senior class, some looking to continue to add on to their individual accomplishments while others are striving to be the leading force to help their team make it through the state tournaments.
Priscilla Williams, 6’2” F, Branson High School Williams is ranked third among guards and 11th overall in the 2020 class, according to the espnW 100 list.As a junior at Branson High School, Williams averaged 27.8 PPG and 10.1 RPG. Priscilla made 52 three-pointers on the season last year, and broke a school-record 51 points in a game. Priscilla is a very versatile player. At 6’2 she adds size to any back court; She can create for herself and others. Priscilla has the ability to score from deep, knock down mid range shots with ease and drive to the basket finishing with both hands.She has committed to Syracuse to play basketball. Look for Priscilla to lead her team deep into the postseason.
Paige Allen 5’8” G, Oak Park High School Has a knack for scoring the basketball. She can score at all three levels. Paige ended the season averaging 24.0 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 3.2 SPG, 50.2 FG% and 70.9 FT%. In her Sophomore season Paige eclipsed the 1,000 point mark. As a Junior she became the all time scoring leader in school history. Averaging 500 points a season, Allen is on pace to reach the 2,000 point mark by the end of her senior campaign. Paige has a deadly pull up jump shot. She has great handles that allow her to get to any spot on the floor she wants. Her ball handling skills allow her to get to the basket and finishing strong. Paige is commitment to Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
Deon Monroe 5’7 G/F, Truman High School, Deon had a very productive 2018/2019 season. She Averaged 17.0 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 1.5 APG, 1.1 SPG. While shooting 53 FG% as well as 73 FT%. She hit a huge milestone scoring 1,000-plus career points, 500-plus career rebounds. Deon is a very versatile player. Her strength and speed has allowed her to hold her own the court and play many positions. Slashing to the basket and muscling her way to the rim are only a few of the skill set she posses. With her ability to play post, guard, and wing she is able to shoot the ball from all over the court. Expect Deon to lead the Patriots in many categories this season.
