Saniha Jackson | 6’0 F | River Hill 2020
During last years state championship, River Hill started only one senior player. This year, Saniha Jackson will hope to lead her team back to the state championship game with the help of sophomore point guard Aniya Smith. Saniha led the team in points per game last season (12.5) and averaged 10.2 rebounds per game, giving her a double double for the season.
Jacqueline Dianis | 5’7 G | Gwynn Park 2020
Jacqueline Dianis can be an opposing coaches nightmare. This girl is going to pull up on you no matter who you are. Jacquline has the ability to shoot anywhere on the court which is deadly seeing as though she is a shoot first type of player. Last season, multiple coaches found themselves double teaming even triple teaming Jacqueline. Dianis averaged 9.5 ppg last season. Look forward to seeing Jacqueline Dianis and Forward Janae Dublin once again take this division by storm.
Jazmine Washington | 5’7 G | Oakland Mills 2020
Oakland Mills girls basketball has been one of the top clubs in the Howard County region as of late. In 2017-18, Oakland Mills made it to the final four in the MPSSAA State Championships and last season, they were in the sweet 16 before being eliminated. A huge part of their consistency has been because of Jazmine Washington. Washington averaged 11.4 ppg and 5.6 apg her sophomore year while averaging 12.4 ppg and 5.2 apg her junior year. Add that to her career average of 3.2 steals per game, Jazmine is certainly a forced to be reckoned with.
