The interview:
Question:
What is your favorite memory of HS basketball?
Caterino:
All the team bonding things we do over the course of the year and really becoming a family during high school season.
Question:
Have you received any offers?
Caterino:
No offers yet.
Question:
What school/program would you like to see an offer from?
Caterino:
Any college that could see me benefiting their program and a place where I feel like home when I go there.
Question:
What do you want to major in?
Caterino:
Criminal Justice.
Question:
What did you do over the summer to continue training in the off season?
Caterino:
I play AAU with West Michigan Drive and try to get into the gym as much as possible. My high school in June also has practices and we go to some tournaments as a team.
Question:
In your opinion, what is the strongest part of your game?
Caterino:
The strongest part of my game is the willingness to do anything my team needs to win. If they need something, I’ll try to do the best I can and work my butt off while doing it.
Question:
What is the weakest part of your game? What are you doing to overcome that weakness?
Caterino:
The weakest part of my game is not being as consistent of a shooter as I would like to be. I try to be in the gym and get shots up as much as possible but I definitely think it is something I’ve improved on and keep trying to improve on.
Question:
What are your hopes for this 2019/2020 season?
Caterino:
Of course everyone wants to win Conference and Districts etc. but for this season especially with a new coach, to get Greenville known to be a great basketball program and for our opponents to have to fight to beat us.
Question:
What is your primary motivation to succeed in basketball?
Caterino:
Basketball has always been something I love and I just love playing the game. Seeing people come together to play and compete is something I love doing.
Question:
What professional athlete would you compare your game to? Why?
Caterino:
I would compare myself to Megan Rapinoe on the USA National Soccer Team because she is never afraid to stand up for what she believes in and is willing to do whatever it takes to make her dreams come true.
Question:
What is your favorite drill and why?
Caterino:
My favorite drill that we run at Greenville is called the Spartan drill. It’s essentially 2on1, 3on2, 4on3, 5on5 scrimmage. It’s a great way to work on any situations in the game but especially works on transition offense.
