Continue ReadingIt is strongly suggested that you don’t play a zone defense against these six sharp shooters. There are a lot of kids who can score in various ways, but one of the most old-school weapons is having someone with the ability to score from the perimeter, and in particular beyond the three-point arc.
Best of luck defending this group of kids who can score in various ways, but their most deadly attribute is the long perimeter shot that can break open a defense very quickly.
Madelyn Fearon Madelyn Fearon 5'6" | CG Arcanum | 2022 State OH – Arcanum
Can score in multiple ways, but is probably best known for her ability to break open a defense with her perimeter shooting. Excellent range, continues to improve her game and get better. Can shoot off the dribble well, and when her shot is not there, can create and either penetrate for a midrange, or find the open player.
Hailey Unger- Arcanum
Yes you read that right, two kids from Arcanum, and they deserve it. She had a great summer and opened a lot of eyes with her ability to score from beyond the arc. Gets her shot off quickly making her difficult to defend. Not afraid to let it go from anywhere, at anytime. Still needs to polish other aspects of her game to become more complete, but she is on her way to doing so.
Staci Greene- Chaminade Julienne
Already committed to Lake Erie, Staci has been considered a bigtime perimeter threat since she stepped onto the floor at CJ a few years ago. Excellent range, and can hit a midrange if she is given that shot.
Reagan Ware- Greenon
Perimeter shooting is what she is known for, and it has helped Greenon be competitive in the Ohio Heritage Conference. Scores well off the bounce, not afraid of let loose from deep range. She handles the ball very well also which allows her to create a good shot.
Janae Hoying- Minster
While her game has elevated to another level the last couple of years, Janae will always be known for her perimeter game as her number one scoring option. She can shoot with anyone, and throw into the mix that she is improved on the other aspect of her game, it makes her a solid next-level prospect.
Mickayla Perdue- Springfield
Yes she can do it all, she can get to the rim and score, and fly in transition. But her perimeter shooting is what will help Springfield as she can shoot threes with anyone… and on anyone. Mickayla is a solid D1 prospect with multiple offers.
