Continue ReadingThe excitement is building day by day! This Saturday 10/19 we will hold the very first PGH Top 250 camp in Illinois. Below I will highlight some of the Southern Illinois talent in the 2022 and 2023 classes that will be on display.
- Anna Blank is a 5’11 2022 point guard from Richland County. Anna had a great AAU season with the Indiana Flight West team. She was selected as an All Star at 9 different events. Anna is ranked #3 in the PGH class of 2022 rankings. She is a great leader and facilitator as a point guard . Anna has a D1 body already. She is strong and finishes through contact. Anna has been working hard on her game and is looking forward to the challenge if the PGH Top 250.
- Mallory Ramage is a 5’10 2022 guard from Matoon. Mallory is currently ranked #8 in our PGH class of 2022 rankings. She is really working hard on improving her 3 point shot for the school season. Mallory is excellent at scoring in the lane. She has a great pull up shot that she gets off consistently in traffic. Mallory is a scorer with great vision and passing skills.She is really looking forward to the chance to challenge herself against the top competition at the PGH Top 250 and use that experience to get better.
- Madyson Rigdon is a 5’7 2022 guard from Paris. Madyson also ran with the Indiana Flight West team that went 41-7 this year. She feels her shooting stroke and defense are her best attributes. Madyson has deep range on her shot well beyond the 3 point line. She is really looking forward to the chance to prove herself against the top competition at PGH Top 250 and to meet new people. Madyson has worked very hard to stay in shape in the off season including running cross country so she should be ready on Saturday.
- Kate Littleton is a 5’6 2022 guard from Paris. Kate is a very good athlete that uses her speed as a weapon in the floor. She can get up and down the court and loves to push the ball. Kate will get easy baskets by beating her opponent to the rim. Kate has worked hard in the off season to improve her ball handling and shooting skills. She is really looking forward to working to get better, meeting new people and playing with the top talent at the PGH Top 250.
- Shannon Dowell is a 5’8 2023 guard from O’Fallon. Shannon is a long scoring guard. She is excellent at getting to the basket. Shannon finishes well over taller defenders. Shannon will get varsity minutes this year and is one to watch at the PGH Top 250.
- Alyssa Cole is a 5’9 2022 wing from Nashville. Allyssa is a very physical wing player that had a great freshman year. She is a beast in the lane against smaller defenders. She is working to improve her ball handling and outside shot to round out her game. Alyssa rebounds well and can defend multiple positions. Alyssa will be fun to watch at the PGH Top 250, She is a competitor and that will show well.
- Haley Ottenschnieder is a 5’6 2023 guard from Breese Central. Haley is very athletic. She uses her strength and quickness to get into the lane to score. Haley works on her game all the time. She can shoot it from the outside and really knows the game. She will compete for playing time on the varsity this year. Haley has the skills to be an excellent defender.
I am really excited to see the girls from ” down state” get a chance to get on the floor and compete. With such a big state so highly populated in the north many of the girls don’t see each other. This will be a great day to get a measurement of where they stand. I cannot wait.
