- Angela Dugalic is a 6’4 2020 forward from Maine West. Angela has given Oregon a verbal commitment. With her decision already made Angela can focus on making another state tourney run. Angela will be one of the front runners to win the Miss Basketball award that Brea Beal has finally released by graduation. She is a very versatile player that can handle, pass, defend and score. At the college level she will be capable of playing anywhere from the 2-5 at different times. Angela is working hard to improve her range and consistency of her 3 point shot. I am looking forward to seeing the other girls take an opportunity to play with and against Angela.
- Halle Douglass is a 6’2 2020 point guard from Lake Forest. Halle recently committed to Wisconsin to play her college ball. Wisconsin felt like home to her and in many ways Madison is like home. With a family support network there the transition should be easier than most. Halle has that ability that true point guards do, she can control a game without scoring. She has long arms and a great ability to see the floor. Halle will stuff the stat sheet her senior year. She is coming off a junior year where she scored 18 per game, pulled in 7 rebounds and fished out 6 assists. Halle is special and I look forward to seeing her run the point at the expo.
- Greta Kampschroeder is a 6’0 2021 guard from Naperville North. Greta is a versatile talented player that can score inside and out. She averaged a double / double as a sophomore. Greta has earned tremendous respect on the national level and is ranked as high as #12 in the country. Greta makes her teammates better and is a willing passer. Opponents focus on stopping Greta and she creates scoring chances for her team by exploiting their strategy. She is an outstanding player going to the basket. She can play through contact and finish or dish off. Greta will be a pleasure to watch in Aurora.
- Kate Dennis is a 6’1 2021 wing from Rockford Guilford. Kate is an excellent shooter that has the ability to play any position. Like so many outstanding young players she does it all for her school team. Kate is most likely a 2/3 at the next level. Her length and athletic ability allow her to excel at both ends of the floor. Kate shows great leadership skills at a young age. She is a team player that wants her teammates to succeed. Kate has started to get some great D1 mid major offers. With another great season I expect to see her continue to garner national attention.
It is exciting to have girls at this level choose to participate in the PGH Top 250. With D1 schools not able to attend the event these players aren’t playing in front of their target audience. However, it is great for PGH Illinois for them to put their talent on display. It brings excitement to the event and challenges everyone to bring their game and show what they can do. These players are #1 and 2 in 2020 and #1 and 9 in 2021. Come and get it! Show the state of Illinois what you have and increase your opportunities for college. I cant wait, one more sleep and a 4 hour drive!
