Blake, Brandon, and I will be pushing out multiple different types of articles with as many angles as possible. I, personally, will be grouping players in positions who I thought stood out or played well. Below, you can find the small forwards who I thought had a really good day.

I was very happy to see that Decker made her way down to Indiana for our Top 250. I hadn’t seen her before, and I was glad I did on this day. She was very impressive getting to the rim and shooting the ball well from distance. She’s a scrappy wing who was at times the best player on the floor. Decker has a really intriguing game and I think that she’s going to have a host of interest going forward from schools

Fields was really solid when I saw her on Sunday. She was active around the basket and was able to do some work out on the perimeter as well. I thought that she was able to facilitate for others fairly well from the wing enabling her teammates to score. She has a bit of length to her which helps her defensively. She is going to be a player that isn’t flashy, but does a lot of stuff really well.
Lexi Humbert – 5’7 SF – 2021 – Wapahani
I was fairly impressed with Humbert at the Top 250 after not seeing her prior to the event. She is kind of a tweener in terms of position. I thought that she showed enough athleticism to play the wing and the physicality to play in the post. Humbert has good hands allowing her to pull down rebounds and she runs the floor well looking to score. She impressed me with how active she was all day long.

Kirby has really transformed her game over the past few months, and once again really impressed me this weekend. She has looked solid over the past few months putting the ball on the floor and playmaking for herself and others. Kirby was tremendous getting to the rim and finishing around length. She plays with a nice pace to her game and she has also really impressed me with her effort level.

– 5’6 SF – 2022 – South Bend Washington
Levasseur jumped onto my radar quickly as soon as I saw her in the gym. As soon as I checked on the game she was playing in, she immediately grabbed two straight rebounds and went the length of the floor to score it. She is a versatile wing who can play either the two or three spot on the floor. Levasseur is a player who you gravitate to because she is so fun to watch.

Penn | 2022

– 5’8 SF – 2022 – Penn
Similar to Fields, Little isn’t a player who is going to be flashy but just always be productive. Little was willing to do pretty much anything needed of her this past weekend as she was scoring, rebounding, and defending at a very high level. She showed some athleticism and grit at the Top 250 and I thought that overall she played really well. She’s a tremendous role player for Penn who will see expanded responsibilities this year.

Hamilton Southeastern | 2023
State

– 5’11 SF – 2023 – HSE
Most of the 2023 players in the event I had seen before, but Makalusky was new for me. I had heard good things about her but was not able to get eyes on her until Sunday. I came away very impressed with her overall game. She plays with a nice motor and has some length to finish at the rim well. Obviously she will need to gain strength, but as a 2023 she is among the top players in the class.
Jaelynn Murray – 5’10 SF – 2022 – Pike
Murray really impressed me during the high school season and I was excited to be able to see her once again. Murray was solid at both scoring the ball and using her IQ to get others in scoring position. She moved well without the ball and got herself into good spots to score as well. She has shown a ton of improvement from even last season and she will continue to improve even more.
Jillian Osswald

– 5’7 SF – 2021 – Hamilton Heights
Osswald is a swiss army knife. She can play with the ball in her hands, she can play off the ball, and she can bounce down into the post if needed. Osswald can kind of fit in at any spot on the floor and I think she is a point-forward of sorts. I loved her performance on Sunday as she showed her versatility. Look for Osswald to have a really nice season for Hamilton Heights.

Bishop Chatard | 2021
State

– 5’8 SF – 2021 – Chatard
Rasheed once again had a good performance this past weekend. She is a physical wing with a quite a bit of strength on her frame. I thought that she showed a nice bit of playmaking at the event and was able to make things happen. Rasheed shot the ball fairly well from distance and she also was able to get to the rim. I would like to see her up her effort at times and I think it’ll take her to another level.
Pa’Shence Walker

Martinsville | 2021

– 5’9 SF – 2021 – Martinsville
I was not able to see Walker last season and she was really impressive at the Expo. She had multiple really good moves in the post and showed the ability to create on the perimeter as well. One sequence she pulled down a rebound and then pushed it up the floor resulting in a wide-open jumper at the other end. Look for her to have a big role on this Martinsville squad this year.
Ellie Wilkerson

– 5’9 SF – 2022 – Plainfield
Wilkerson is one of my favorite players to watch in the state. She has a calmness about her game and has continued to improve over the past few months. When I was watching her this past weekend I felt like she didn’t miss a shot. Wilkerson has a good frame that holds strength and allows her to play in the post at hims. She will draw quite a bit of college interest as her high school career proceeds.
