Holland, a senior at Licking High School, has been a vital piece of one of the most successful Class 3 programs here in the Show-Me State over the past few years. Holland has a basketball IQ well beyond her years, which is obvious on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she is capable off of the dribble, deadly from three, and in all honesty, scoring just comes naturally. Defensively, Holland anticipates as well as anyone I’ve seen and it shows in the steals column on a nightly basis. This will seem paradoxical, but I think this All-State point guard is often overlooked and underappreciated.
Maci Kuchta
Kuchta, a senior at Class 5 Hickman High School, is an absolute fireball at the point guard position. The best way to describe her would be to say that she is a 5’3 Swiss Army Knife. Kuchta is a willing passer, who finds her teammates on time and delivers her passes with pinpoint accuracy. She’s also an underrated scorer, who is more than capable of piling up 20+ points if the situation calls for it. Kuchta recently committed to NAIA powerhouse William Penn University, which is located in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Reagan Rapert
Rapert, a 5’6 transfer to Union High School, was tabbed as one of the best point guards in Arkansas by the end of her sophomore campaign. Rapert played at Melbourne High School and led her squad to a 30-5 record last season, which included a Class 2 state championship. Union High School is a member of the Four Rivers Conference, which is one of the premier High School girls conferences in Missouri. It will be interesting to see how Rapert handles the transition.
Kaydi Alderman
At 5’4, it may be easy to overlook Alderman, but that would be a mistake. As a sophomore, Alderman was the key piece of a district championship for the Eugene Lady Eagles last season. Her toughness, athleticism, and savy decision-making will be vital for the Eagles this season if they hope to compete for a conference and district championship.
