These Juniors will be looking to build off of last year’s Sensational Sophomore Season by earning that KBCA All-State title this season. All five of these players are holding down a spot in Top 15 of the Kansas Girls Prep Hoops Rankings for the Class of 2021!
Grace Pyle, 5’10” SG, McPherson High School #9 in the Kansas Girls Prep Hoops Rankings. Grace is a competitor who can do a little bit of everything well on the court. Her range from behind the arc extends well be on the High School three point line. Grace is a very good catch-n-shoot shooter but can also get her shot of the dribble. Pyle is capable of lighting up a scoreboard with her do it all style of play.
Ella Anciaux, 6’4″ C, Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School #10 in the Kansas Girls Prep Hoops Rankings. Ella is a problem in the paint for opposing teams. She has really good hands and she knows how to hold her position on the block. Anciaux controls the paint whether she is finishing with either hand for a deuce or grabbing a rebound. Defensively Ella can block shots but she’s best when opponents have to shoot over the top of her length while she stays vertical with hands held high.
Camryn Turner, 5’8″ CG, Topeka Seaman High School #14 in the Kansas Girls Prep Hoops Rankings. Camryn is a good athlete and she shows it when she is on the defensive end of the floor. Turner is calm under pressure which helps her to break pressure defenses down and get easy buckets for herself and her teammates. Camryn sees the floor well and she is best when out in transition.
Sydney Holmes, 5’10” G/F, Maize High School #12 in the Kansas Girls Prep Hoops Rankings. Holmes is a good passer and a good spot-up shooter from behind the arc. Sydney can get to the basket and finish with either hand when she is ran off the 3pt-line. She can rebound, push the pace and make the right decision when doing so. Sydney is a mismatch for opposing teams when she moves over to the point guard position, due to her size and ball handling capabilities.
Laniah Randle, 5’10” G/F, Wichita Heights High School #6 in the Kansas Girls Prep Hoops Rankings. Randle has some nice athleticism, which allows her to play much bigger than her height. She is a slasher that elevates over her opponents to finish at the basket. Laniah has a nice midrange game that she uses effectively to keep defenders off guard. Randle will be the anchor to her team this season while she makes that run for All-State Honors again this season.
