Aniya Gourdine |5-6 G| St. Francis Academy 2021
Aniya is a powerhouse and a sure take to rank at the top of her class by the end of the season. Aniya has the skills and most importantly the maturity to exceed at the next level. Last year, Aniya averaged 14.5 ppg, 4.0 assist, and 4.3 rebounds per game. St. Francis Academy is looking for its 5th straight IAAM Conference Championship this season.
Janae Dublin | 6-2 C| Gwynn Park 2020
This all county athlete is certainly nothing to sneeze at. One of the best bigs I’ve seen in a while, Janae’s fundamentals and total dominance is something one must witness in person. Janae dominates the post, can run with any guard on the fast break, and also possesses a decent jump shot from the wing. Having accumulated 1000 points in her playing career, Janae could potentially finish off her high school career with a double double, currently averaging 17.8 ppg and 9.7 rebounds per game.
Jenesis Massenburg | 5-4 G | Capital Christian Academy 2022
If there was one word I could use to describe this Bowie High transfer, “Speed!”. Messenburg has the potential to be one of top point guards in the state. Currently at #15 on Prep Girls Hoops 2022 Rankings, the sophomore is looking to strengthen her game this upcoming season. Already possessing the ability to knock down the open shot, I’m looking forward to seeing Messenburg’s assist total rise with her overall game.
Camille Malagar | 5-6 G| Howard 2020
This highly sought after college prospect has not committed to an institution jus yet. Meaning it’s not too late to place your bid. Camille Malagar is more than just a scrappy guard out of the 4A Division. Her sharpness to find the open man while slashing through the lane might be her greatest asset. Camille can shoot anywhere on the floor and her immaculate form along with her stellar defense makers her a triple threat. Camille led Howard High School to the Sweet 16 in last years MPSSAA Girls Basketball State Championships.
Nekhu Mitchell | 5-11 F| McDonogh 2022
I got a strong feeling the game will never be too big for Nekhu Mitchell. First thing you notice about Nekhu Mitchell, is how she uses her length and body to dominate the paint. Although Nekhu Mitchell’s high school career is just getting started, she averaged 15 points and 18 rebounds as a member of Power Moves last season and was first-team all league. Look for a big part of McDonogh’s game to include Nekhu Mitchell this year as they look to make their way back to the State Championship after losing to St. Francis Academy last year.
