Jaya McClure, CAL – Jaya is ready for a bigger offensive role for a CAL team that returns a lot of weapons. McClure spent her freshman season as more of a facilitator but will be looking for her own offense more this season. Look for her to make a splash early this season.
Cassidy Rowe, Shelby Valley – Rowe could very well be the best player in the class but her ranking had to slip due to two knee injuries in the last two years. Coming off an ACL tear that caused her to miss all but 5 games last season, Rowe was rounding back into form when a second ACL tear sidelined her this summer. When she’s at 100% there aren’t many better players in the state than Cassidy.
Tiffanie Floyd, Central – Floyd made the move to Central after averaging 12 points per game as a freshman at Moore last year. More of a scoring point, Tiffanie leaves behind a crowded backcourt and should get to play with the ball in her hands more.
Amaya Asher, Central – Asher and Floyd will now be playing together and could/should form a dynamic duo capable of making some noise in Louisville this season. Amaya can score the ball or create for others and it’s likely that Central can be really tough to beat when she and Floyd re both at their best.
Nia Gandolfo, Assumption – Coming off a freshman year where she played a limited role, Nia should be ready for more opportunities in her Sophomore season. Assumption has a loaded roster and Gandolfo can ease into a role of being a playmaker.
Other Names to Know:
Camryn LaGrange, Madisonville-North Hopkins – She averaged nearly 17 points per game as a freshman and is only going to get better over the next 3 season.
Maddie Kaufmann, Tates Creek – Transferred to Tates from Henry Clay, Maddie should step into a leadership role for a Tates Creek team that has a chance to be sneaky good this season.
