The 2019-20 high school basketball regular season is set to get underway this month. For some teams, they tip-off this week while others will start next week. The Southern California area is full of talent and this season should be a good one.

I’ll be looking at schools in the CIF Division 1 from the areas that I’ll be covering at various points this season and highlighting a few players to look out for. These players aren’t necessarily stars on the team. Some of them might be, but others are key cogs that will play an important role on the team’s success this year.

Here’s a look at some of those players.

1. Camryn Kiernan – Mater Dei 2020

An incoming senior, Kiernan recently committed to Concordia University. There is a lot of talent on this Mater Dei team, and Kiernan is a player who can fit in to any role that the team needs. She is a glue player who does a lot of little things that don’t always show up on a stat sheet. She plays solid defense, she dives on the floor for loose balls, she rebounds well, and she can get a bucket if needed. Solid
