While speed is the initial strength of this class at first glance, there are some very talented players with solid length that are definitely worth tracking over the course of the next few years. Each of these players should have a good freshman season and continue to develop as they grow into their bodies more so.
Prospects with Length:
1. Olivia Anderson (Ellensburg HS)
- At 6’4 and even longer arms with her wing span, everything concerning length begins with Olivia Anderson. She has one of the, if not the highest ceiling in Washington’s 2023 class. Her development will continue to be step by step, but she has things you cannot teach. She will more than likely block 3-4 shots per game as a freshman at Ellensburg.
2. Jenna Villa (Arlington HS)
- At 6’0 and a solid perimeter game, Jenna is going to be a mismatch problem stepping into her first season at Arlington. Expectations were already pretty high for Arlington, but Jenna’s versatile skill set could take them to the next level. Her name has created some buzz around the Seattle area and continues to be brought up to me, so it will be really exciting to see how she does on a competitive high school team.
3. McKynnlie Dalan (Montesano HS)
- One of the state’s best kept secrets is tucked away in Grays Harbor County, but her name is no secret to college coaches. McKynnlie played at the 17u Gold Division in the adidas Gauntlet for the Northwest Blazers this past spring and summer. She is a strong and wiry athlete that can do a little bit of everything. She should have a very good freshman season for Montesano.
4. Adria Lincoln (Monroe HS)
- Adria comes into the high school scene with some Division 1 interest, having played on a really solid Tree of Hope 2023 squad. She has long limbs and a frame that is still filling out, so she should continue to get stronger with time. She is another versatile and skilled player that should make an immediate impact for Monroe who went 6-13 a year ago. *Feature image
5. Imbie Jones (Eastside Catholic HS)
- Imbie has one of the highest ceilings for the 2023 in the entire state. Her perimeter skill is developing and she has an ideal basketball frame at this stage of career. She is long and wiry with continued room to fill out naturally as she gets older. Imbie is apart of the program changing freshman class at Eastside Catholic.
Others:
6’0 Sydney Hani (Lake Washington HS)
6’0 Taliyah Lee (Gonzaga Prep)
6’0 Amelie Sitterud (Eastside Catholic HS)
