Several kids in this class have already found themselves on the radar of a lot of different college coaches, and these are a few who hope to get that same opportunity. These are some kids who hope to have a breakout season.
2021 Sleepers
Makenna Laird (National Trail)
Hard working guard who I expect to raise the level of her game this season. Good handles and can run the show for the Trail Blazers. Can move well, distribute and has good range. With some good younger talent coming in, Laird could be a good leader and help lead Trail to a successful season.
Sara Reis (Alter)
After making the move to Alter last year, Reis hopes to make a solid impact this season. The Knights have a very good younger group expected to contribute, and Reis hopes to be one of the older players to be a positive leader. Always looking to improve her game, she is waiting for a breakout season. Had a good summer at a couple of events I saw her at.
Morgan Taylor (Troy Christian)
Improving every day for the Eagles. Good ball distributor and very tenacious defender. The best on-ball man defender on the Troy Christian squad. Has a chance to be at the top of the Metro Buckeye Conference in both steals and assists this season. She has worked on her shot to hit 15-18 footer.
Liv Reittinger (Bethel)
As I mentioned in an earlier story, Liv has really worked on different aspects of her game. In past seasons, she was just known as a perimeter shooter, and she can still knock them down. Has improved her defense which was a key for her. Also getting better with her handles. Hungry to play at the next level.
Lovie Malone (Wayne)
Holds multiple D1 offers, Lovie is a high-motor high intensity player that can score at all three levels. Can play multiple positions and is a physical defender. Can mix it up on the boards, or get out and run in transition. Coming back from an injury this fall, she will be big in the success of Wayne this season.
