The top five teams based on performance will be released every Sunday evening except for this week, which will be Monday morning due to the games last night at the Journey to the Tourney.
Division 1
1. Fairmont (2-0) impressive pair of wins at the Journey to the Tourney over the weekend. They dismantled the top D2 team out of Cincinnati, Roger Bacon 55-29 then used 36 points from the state’s top player Madeline Westbeld Madeline Westbeld 6'3" | SF Fairmont High School | 2020 State OH to shock the #2 team in the nation Hamilton Heights 53-46 in overtime. Earned the top spot this week with two impressive wins. Off the rest of this week.
2. Wayne (2-0) another team with two solid wins at the JTTT, as they opened the weekend with a 56-38 win over Loveland as Bree Hall scored 23 points, Alyssa Hall Alyssa Hall 5'7" | CG Wayne | 2021 OH added 12. The next day, Wayne had an impressive 62-39 win over Toledo Notre Dame Academy to join Fairmont at 2-0 on the young season. Hosts Tecumseh on Saturday night.
3. Springboro (1-0) opened their season with a huge win against Lakota West on Sunday night, jumping out to a big lead at the half and battling for a 49-36 win. The Panthers used a big game from Jordan Hobbs Jordan Hobbs 5'9" | CG Springboro | 2021 State OH in the win. Boro is off until the week after Thanksgiving.
4. Centerville (0-1) battled a very tough Newark team in the season opener at the JTTT before falling short 71-63. Amy Velasco Amy Velasco 5'8" | CG Centerville | 2021 State OH , the junior guard from Centerville had a huge game offensively for the Elks with 27 points, and freshman Kendal George Kendal George 5'9" | CG Centerville | 2023 State OH added 10. Travels to New Albany on Friday.
5. Bellbrook (2-0) A couple of impressive wins over the weekend including a big win against Beavercreek on opening night 34-30. Travels to Waynesville on Tuesday for a big matchup.
Division 2
1. Carroll (0-0) opens the season at Purcell Marian Tuesday then hosts the team expected to challenge the Patriots for the top of the GCL this season, Roger Bacon.
2. Valley View (0-1) suffered a tough season opening loss on Saturday morning at the Journey to the Tourney falling to Ursuline 30-26. Travels to Miamisburg on Tuesday in their only game of the week.
3. Jonathan Alder (1-0) opened the season with a close win against Dublin Jerome as seniors Abby Jones Abby Jones 5'10" | SF Jonathan Alder High School | 2020 OH and Sydney Bourquin led the way. Bishop Ready out of Columbus comes to town Tuesday then the Pioneers are off for a week.
4. Chaminade Julienne (1-1) battled state power Versailles to the wire in the tournament at Tri Village last weekend, then bounced back to beat Tecumseh. Travels to Legacy Christian on Tuesday and heads to Badin on Friday.
5. Tippecanoe (0-1) could not get their offense on track in a loss to Beavercreek in their opener. Travels to West Liberty Salem on Tuesday.
Division 3
1. Versailles (1-1) Brooke Stonebraker led the way for the Tigers win against CJ before falling in a close game against D4 power Tri Village.
2. West Liberty Salem (1-0) opened the season with an easy win against Fairbanks as Emily Hollar Emily Hollar 5'7" | CG West Liberty Salem | 2022 OH scored 18 points to lead the Tigers. Hosts Tippecanoe in a game Tuesday.
3. Waynesville (1-1) split their two games over the weekend, defeating Greeneview 55-51 before losing 55-39 to Legacy Christian. Isabella Cassoni scored 19 to lead Waynesville in their opener and Leah Butterbaugh with 14 on Saturday. They host Bellbrook Tuesday.
4. Arcanum (1-1) lost in the championship game of their tournament last weekend. Solid play from Kayla O’Daniel and Madelyn Fearon Madelyn Fearon 5'6" | CG Arcanum | 2022 State OH who both were named to the all-tournament team. Ansonia comes to town on Tuesday and they travel to Lehman on Saturday.
5. Anna (0-0) the Rockets open their season on Tuesday hosting Botkins, then heads to Fairlawn on Saturday morning.
Division 4
1. Tri Village (2-0) dominated Tecumseh 99-29 in their opener, then held on to defeat Versailles in the finals of their host tournament, the first time in three years Versailles did not win the TV tournament. Bradford comes to town on Tuesday.
2. Fort Loramie (1-0) cruised in their opener against Minster now hosts Fairlawn on Tuesday and goes to Russia on Saturday for their first two league games of the season. Very balanced scoring attack against Minster led by sophomore Ava Sholtis Ava Sholtis 5'8" | CG Fort Loramie | 2022 State OH .
3. Legacy Christian (1-0) big win in their opener, defeating the D2 state runnerup. Emma Hess Emma Hess 6'0" | SF Legacy Christian Academy | 2021 State OH and Kathleen Ahner Kathleen Ahner 5'8" | CG Legacy Christian Academy | 2021 OH both hit double figures for Legacy. Hosts CJ on Tuesday and Franklin Monroe on Saturday afternoon.
4. Franklin Monroe (2-0) won the tipoff event at Arcanum behind a great weekend from Corina Conley Corina Conley 6'0" | C Franklin Monroe High School | 2020 State OH , along with a solid perimeter game from Chloe Brumbaugh and Belle Cable. Will be a great test on Saturday against Legacy.
5. Minster (1-1) they split their two games last weekend and now heads to Celina on Tuesday night for a non league contest.
