These Ladies are just some of the players from this Elite club team based out of the KC area. As the season gets underway I will be introducing you to some more athletes that are members of the KC Dream Elite Basketball Club. Over the years I have had the privilege of watching some of these young ladies grow into the players they have become today. Coach Joel Webb runs a great program that changes lives through the sport of basketball.
Tylieea “T” Wallace, 6’1″ C, KC Schlagle High School comes in at the #74 spot in the Kansas Prep Girls Hoops Rankings. T is one of the top post players in the state and she is coming off of a strong sophomore season at KC Schlagle. Schlagle made a strong run in State last year where they knocked off Wichita Heights in the first round. Wallace led all girls with 27pts & 13 rebounds. This type of output is typical for Tylieea. She averaged a double-double last year and she’ll be looking to increase those numbers to help her team get back to State this year. Wallace is a force to be reckoned with on the low block. Her size, footwork, skillset and High IQ allows her to dominate defenders. She’s increased her ball handling over the summer which will allow her to be even more of a threat from the mid-post. Tylieea “T” Wallace is also a great individual defender and a great help defender. Sophomore High School Stats: 14pts, 11rebs, 2ast & 1blk (1st Team All-Conference, 5A All-State Honorable-Mention). College: Uncommitted, holds offers from UMKC, UCA, UCM, Missouri Southern, Missouri Western. Reported by Coach Joel Webb–KC Dream Elite Basketball Club
Kennedy Taylor, 6’3″ PF, Shawnee Mission Northwest High School comes in at the #30 spot in the Kansas Prep Girls Hoops Rankings. Kennedy is coming off a good sophomore season at SM Northwest and even better spring and summer with the KC Dream Basketball Club. She’s currently one of the top recruits in the Kansas City Area. Taylor has a unique blend of size, strength, and athleticism for a 6’3 Power Forward. Kennedy was strong when finishing around the rim last year, and since then she has developed a mid-range jump shot as well as increased her ball-handling skill set. Taylor is a hard worker and it shows in her work ethic. If she uses these skills and continues to add more moves to her arsenal, it should only elevate her game and stock. Kennedy Taylor is also a good shot-blocker, she runs the floor very well and she is a strong rebounder and finisher around the rim with contact. Sophomore High School Stats: 12pts, 9rebs, 2ast, 2stls, 2blks (3rd Team Sunflower League). College: Uncommitted, holds offers from K-State, Missouri, Iowa State, California, Washington, Arizona State, Penn State, Northwestern, Wake Forest, Boston College, Virginia, Kentucky, Kansas, Tulsa, Iowa, Indiana State, Drake, Wichita State, Illinois State. Reported by Coach Joel Webb–KC Dream Elite
Paige Craft, 5’8″ PG/SG, Blue Valley North High School comes in at the #16 spot in the Kansas Prep Girls Hoops Rankings. Paige is coming off of a good sophomore year and she is now going into her junior year looking to be the leader of the team. Craft has shown glimpses of greatness both in school ball and with her club team. With a bit more consistency she could easily be one of the top guards in Kansas. Paige is a fundamentally sounded player that possesses a High IQ and skill set to back it up. She is above average in all facets of the game, shooting, handling, passing, and defending. Sophomore High School Stats: 9pts, 5rebs, 4ast. Look for Paige Craft to raise her stock over the High School and 2020 Club Season. College: Uncommitted, holds offers from Pitt State, Washburn, NW Missouri, Missouri Southern, Lindenwood. Reported by Coach Joel Webb–KC Dream Elite
Claire Worthington, 5’7″ SG, St. James Academy has not been ranked yet. When the new rankings come out she will be in the rankings. Claire continues to make her case as one of the top shooters in Kansas. She has a quick release and her unlimited range has helped her shoot the ball on a high level. Last year Worthington had a hand full of games with 6 or more made 3’s. She averaged at least three made 3’s per game. Claire is a High IQ player that leaves it all on the court every time she laces them up. She should help St. James Academy continue to make strides in the EKL in her junior season. Sophomore High School Stats: 12pts, 4rebs, 3ast, & 50% from the 3pt line. Claire Worthington has good handles, she’s a good passer and an elite shooter. College: Uncommitted. No reported offers.
The KC Dream Elite Basketball Club is a great organization that is developing and producing some nice talent out of the KC Metro Area. Put these ladies on your must go see list for this upcoming season. The road to a Kansas High School State Basketball Championship and All-State Honors will not be easy but it could be in these ladies’ grasp if the could lead their teams this season to that road to State.
