These players are looking to make a name for themselves and bust onto the scene in the Kansas Prep Girls Hoops Rankings for the first time.
Rebekah McIntosh, 5’6″ G, Cornerstone Family High School. Rebekah has some Varsity experience, she played in 17 games last season as a freshman. Last season she came off the bench learning about the High School game and learn to play her role for her team. This season McIntosh will see more quality minutes this season and the role she plays for Cornerstone will be bigger. Rebekah McIntosh also plays soccer and it shows in her lateral quickness and her footwork.
Candence Johnson, G, Lawrence High School. Candence is another player I have not seen but once and that was at the Lady Prospects College Showcase & Open Gym. Johnson works hard and has some good fundamentals that she can work on to get better this season. Candence worked hard during the LP showcase and she also showed that she knows how to make the right play.
Adriel Holloway 5’9″ G/F Cornerstone Family High School. Adriel could blow-up this high school season, she has prior Varsity(28 games played) experience where she averaged 7.7pts, 1.6a, 6.4reb 1.6stl, 1.1blk per game. I have not had the pleasure of watching Holloway play yet but I do know stats don’t lie. Adriel has the tools to fill up a stat sheet, according to her Freshman numbers. Keep both eyes on Adriel Holloway this season, she has the experience and the tools to be a walking double-double in points and rebounds per game.
We will check-in on these players when the High School Season tips-off, to see who will boost their stock this season.
