As relayed in Part 1, a year ago the then ten-team Mid-Continent League (MCL) yielded the class 3A state championship third place team, Norton, and the class 2A fourth place team, Trego.  Neither team won the league.  Thomas More Prep-Marian (TMP) earned that reward.  This year's version of the MCL is promising to be even more challenging due to nine of the fifteen all-league players returning, Hoxie entering the league bringing two all-Northwest Kansas League players with it, and strong talent entering the league as freshman or are already present but did not receive all-conference recognition a year ago.

Part 1 communicated information about the nine returning all-league players.  This part 2 will shine light on impact freshmen and players to watch who did not make an all-league team a year ago.

NR Macy Schamberger, 5'9", Hoxie, 2020 - Schamberger and teammate Addi Campbell have a shot at accomplishing something interesting, earning not just all-league back-to-back but accomplishing it as first team selections in two different leagues.  She was a first team NWK League selection a year ago.  Given that Schamberger is a quick, strong, three point shooter she has the ability to accomplish that feat.
