Robert Kelly (PGH Kansas) and I will be breaking down all the talent at the event over the rest of this week or so. Up next is a look at Team 11 from the Expo.
Tora Solbach – 5’4 PG – 2024
Solbach was all over the floor at the Top 250 on Sunday. She is a high motor guard who really likes to get out and run with the ball. She has quick hands on defense allowing her to poke away the basketball. She is going to continue filling out as she gets older and looks to still grow a few inches. She was an impressive young guard.
Magda McGowan – 5’5 PG – 2021 – Southeast Polk HS (IA)
McGowan, like Solbach, goes non-stop the entire game. Her court vision was excellent at the event as she continually found teammates for easy baskets. She is tough defensively and has continued to improve from this past summer. Look for McGowan to really come into her own this upcoming season.

– 5’7 G – 2023 – Algona HS (IA)
Etherington came out firing early on Sunday and she never stopped. She can really score the ball and has poise unlike a lot of freshmen. She showed the ability to put the ball on the floor as well in a facilitating role and was superb at making plays happen for her team. Look for her to impact Algona this season.

– 5’8 SF – 2023 – Woodward-Granger HS (IA)
Fitzgerald is a very mobile and athletic wing who has the versatility to bounce down onto the inside as well. I thought that she showcased her versatility very well and made an impact on both ends of the floor. Since the summer Fitzgerald has gained strength and has become more comfortable with the ball in her hands.

– 5’8 G – 2024
Solseth is a guard who I had not seen before and amongst all the talent at the event, she really stood out. I liked her aggression with the ball and I loved her willingness to go inside and fight for the rebound. Solseth played with a ton of energy all day long and is a 2024 to put on your radar right now after a good day against some top upperclassmen.

– 5’9 PF – 2022 – Cedar Rapids Kennedy HS (IA)
Knight has a breakout season in store for her as she once again threw together a tremendous showing. She was all over the floor on both ends and I thought that her decision making has gotten a lot better. With a more talented roster this year, Knight is going to be leaned on to provide a spark and we saw that she can at the Expo.

Wilson played excellently at the Expo on Sunday. She is a tremendous rebounder and seems to be continuing to become more confident and athletic. She is really developing her skillset nicely and after a great freshman campaign, I think she’s going to have a better sophomore year. The skill she showed at the Expo was very good.
Brooklyn Anderson

– 5’10 F – 2024 – Dowling Catholic HS (IA)
Anderson caught my attention quickly at the Expo and I thought that she might have been the best young forward at the event. She is smart with the ball, has the ability to score off the bounce and the catch, and rebounds it at a high rate. She might not see a ton of time at Dowling with all of their post players, but Anderson is one to keep an eye on.
Emma Ronsiek – 5’11 SF – 2020 – O’Gorman HS (SD)
Ronsiek played very well once again all day long. She was one of the top players at the event and it showed quite quickly as she continuously scored the ball at all three levels. She is a very skilled wing who can play pretty much any spot on the floor with her length and athleticism. Ronsiek has a big senior year upcoming. Committed to Creighton. (Featured Photo)
