Aliyah Bello, 5’9, G/F, 2020, Blue Springs
A first-team all-conference and all-district performer who shows up on both sides of the floor and makes an immediate impact. Bello has great depth to her game and looks to score quickly and forced turnovers. She has an ability to break down opponents and defensive schemes and always seems to find an opening and get the balance. She has good vision as well and is a strong facilitator and unselfish player to boot.
Elizabeth Ernsting, 2020, Blue Springs South @eernsting121
A William Jewell commit, Ernsting put together a strong summer playing for the Kansas Elite 17U White team this past offseason after putting together a solid junior season for BSS. She has a smooth left handed shot with range out to the 3-point line but also is a terrific shot blocker, rebounder and able to post up and score in the paint.
Lily Queen, 5’5, G, 2020, Blue Springs
An active player on both sides of the floor, Queen can find her stroke from behind the three-point line and shows strong awareness as a defender. She moves her feet and looks to stay in front of opponents and can contest shots and even come away with the ball. She can handle it some for herself and looks to shoot when she has an opening and makes good passes as well.
Charli Ritchey, 5’9, G, 2020, Lee’s Summit West
Ritchey is a smart guard who does a little bit of everything on the floor. She can handle the ball and can operate as a slasher and playmaker when she drives to the basket. She can connect from a distance and shows activity in a variety of ways on the defensive side and on the boards. Also a good 3-point shooter from the corner and wing spot.
Marissa Ritchey, 5’9, G, 2020, Lee’s Summit West
A good guard for Lee’s Summit West who can handle the ball some and operate as a scoring guard. She can connect from a distance and has good timing coming off screens and looking for shots. Ritchey is an all-around player who hustles to the ball and applies good defense on the perimeter while having the size 2 switch out on post players and defend on the block some. Ritchey averaged nearly seven points per game and two rebounds last season.
Jayla Sample, 5’7, G, 2020, Blue Springs
An electric senior guard who has great handles and the ability to get inside and score over taller opponents. She has good athleticism and news off the ball well and can score from distance and also look sharp as a defender on the perimeter who switches off opponents quickly and looks to create problems for opponents dribbling.
Teresa Thomas, 5’7, F, 2020, Park Hill
Thomas is a bit of an undersized interior player who uses her speed, quickness and aggressiveness to her advantage. She runs the floor exceptionally well, works hard on the defensive end to get around bigger players and is a quick leaper, able to grab offensive rebounds and easy put backs. She has a soft touch around the basket and is able to score over and around bigger players.
