Cline transferred from Holt and will attend Eaton Rapids. Last season she averaged 10.3 ppg, 5.6 rpg, and 2.2 spg.
Cline is impressive on the basketball court. She has a keen understanding of the game which serves her well on both ends. Cline’s game is highlighted by her aggressiveness. She doesn’t wait for the action, but takes the lead and controls it. Cline attacks both the offensive and defensive glass. She reads the ball off the rim and goes to get it. Cline is a well rounded athlete, also starring in track and volleyball.
Cline is always looking for an opportunity to improve and experience big moments. She’s currently focused on extending her range and gaining consistency on her 3 point shot. Cline feels that winning nationals as a youth was her biggest moment in basketball so far. She’s looking forward to a key matchup with Mason this season. The game holds extra meaning as some of her ENB teammates attend that school.
Emily Cline has a lot to offer to a program at the next level. She’s already received an offer from Acquinas to play both basketball and softball. Cline will provide a college coach with an athlete that has the drive to be the best in anything that she does. She will be a leader, both on and off the floor.
Cline is working to accomplish her goals. Above all else, she wants her team to grow together and always play their best. Cline wants to set a new school record for rebounds and free throws. After basketball, she hopes to become a psychiatrist and own a large home in the country.
“My family is my greatest motivator. They have been with me through it all and have dedicated a lot of time and money into me. They push me to be the best I can at all times, even off the court.”
