Starting off, we will go over some of the top recruits from each class. You’ll see more in depth coverage in these scouting reports and receive unbiased opinions on player’s strengths, weaknesses, and projections.
Kiya Dorroh is a 6’1 guard from Sabino. Last season, she averaged 12.3 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, and 1.7 assists per game. Dorroh is currently sitting at our #1 spot in the 2021 rankings. Dorroh has also recently released her Top 5 College Choices: Missouri, North Carolina, Texas, Nebraska, and Vanderbilt.
Strengths
Dorroh has a ton of positives in her game. Offensively, she can do it all. She is definitely better at attacking the basket more than shooting 3’s but she is more than capable of doing both. She has really good handles and has some impressive moves to get her to the basket. Defensively, she has really stepped up her game this summer. She is a really good perimeter and post defender due to her size, strength, and speed.
Weaknesses
Dorroh doesn’t have any big holes in her game. I would say that some parts of her offensive game need improvement. For instance, her floaters need some work and I’d love to see her become a more consistent 3 point shooter. Additionally, I’d love to see her handles keep improving as she will have to play guard at the D1 level and she primarily plays post in high school. Again, this is me being nit picky and giving recommendations on how she can improve her game.
Projection
Dorroh is certainly going to a high major college and I believe that we will see her playing professionally someday, whether that’s overseas or WNBA…Dorroh is a future pro in the making for sure.
