Perennial WCAC power house St. John's visited St. Vincent Pallotti for a five quarter scrimmage a couple of days before Thanksgiving to get some work in. Pallotti has put together what they believe is an IAAM championship contender. St. John's is trying to adapt to life without Azzi Fudd who is on the mend from an ACL tear. Here are my thoughts on the action...


Lauren Russell Is One Of The Best Shooters In The Area

Lauren is 2021 combo guard who launches threes from NBA range at times. She has really improved her ball handling and is developing into solid all around guard as she will lock up on defense as well. She will spark Pallotti off the bench and should probably see some minutes as a starter this season.

Kelis Corley Is Taking On A Much Bigger Role For St. John's 

5'10" senior Kelis Corley is stepping into a much bigger role this season based on what I saw. Kelis plays at a deliberate but aggressive pace and stays in control at all times. She has good speed and a nice pull up game. She did a little bit of everything in this one on both ends
